250 Polaroids

Hello everyone, tday I finished scanning all the 250 Polaroids from the Iceland shooting and started editing them. The first 15 are “cleaned” (dust removal… ). A teaser to be here soon.
I’m also awaiting my other edited files from the documentary we did so I can share the tiny diary notes Marlene wrote for us, while we were crossing the island.. all to be shared soon!

Iceland – Last Day

Hey all again from the stormy and rainy, even snowy, Iceland,
its our last day here today in the West, in Reykjavik. We finished the shooting yesterday, Super 8 and Polaroid material in masses to take back home. It is unimaginable how lucky we were with the weather, usually our scene-shoots ended and as soon as we went back to the car the light changed or the sun broke in or the rain started hammering down or the tide removed all the water or filled spaces which we needed empty, packed the beach with green alga. Only yesterday the weather went crazy during the shoot. But more of all that later. Now we have to pack, put all the Polaroid originals savely together, get our clothes back in order, send some post through the world and enjoy the last day here. Greetings to everyone, thanks for your support!

Thanks shortly at this place to Marlene and Togola for modeling and working so hard, to David for lending his reflectors to us, to the Jonsson-family for letting us stay at their place(s), for the car, for …. everything! Thank you.

Back from the East

now we are back in Reykjavik from the 2nd part of the Shooting in the east of Iceland.
Docu-Photos (maybe eben videos, depending on how quick I am with all this) and a lot of information and background-sharing to come in the next few days!

Iceland – Shooting Day 2 -

Hey everyone

so the second shooting day with the male model ended just now, we have a lot of work behind us, many hrs in the cold in the wet in the heat in the wind in the…everything! The weather is crazy here. The shoot went well so far, very adventurous as you will see from the documentary shots, but absolutely worth the struggle and exhaustion.

ICELAND-Art-Project

Hey everyone,

some updates on the Iceland Art Project that I am planning. It is part of the IN BETWEEN Polaroid & Super 8 Film Series, started in 2008.

This year my agent and I are thrwoing our attention to the nordic island Iceland.

Two models were found and join us on a 7 day trip (all in all its 2 weeks, with pre-work etc.)

If you live in Iceland or have friends in Iceland, we are still looking for someone to:

* assist us on the set (between 2-6 days)
* document the project by photographing &/or filming a few hrs a couple of times.
